ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

The San Diego Biomarker Symposium invites you to submit abstracts for review during the 17th Annual Biomarkers and Personalized Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease Symposium. Our Symposium will be held at the Hilton Torrey Pines in La Jolla, California on Saturday, March 25, 2023.

Please read all the information below prior to submitting your abstract(s).

General Information: Abstract Submission Instructions:
  1. Please refer to the format of the sample abstracts provided:

  2. The abstract must be written in English.
  3. Deadline: Abstracts MUST BE RECEIVED no later than March 15, 2023 (extended!).
  4. Prepare your abstract as a Word document, max 375 words (no tables or figures; no PDFs), with complete contact information for the corresponding author.
  5. Include a Disclosure Statement. This is to acknowledge any financial or non-financial interest that has arisen from the direct applications of your research. If there are no relevant competing interests to declare please state this, for example: The authors report there are no competing interests to declare.   6. Submit your abstract (Word document) to:
    biomarkers@health.ucsd.edu
  7. Notification of acceptance will be emailed no later than March 20, 2023.
Poster Instructions for Accepted Abstracts:
  1. Suggested poster dimensions are 40 inches wide x 30 inches tall. Poster foamcore boards will be available at conference site. Bring scotch tape or pushpins to attach your poster to the foam board.

  2. Posters will be hung on Saturday and displayed throughout the conference for viewing. There will be an informal reception on Saturday evening for you to showcase your poster.
  3. The winner will be announced at the Saturday evening reception.
  4. If you cannot attend and would like SD Biomarker Symposium to print and hang the poster(s) for you, please email Vicky regarding fees at: vicky@ccmmeetings.com. If you would like your poster returned after the symposium shipping and handling fees will be charged.
Symposium Registration for Abstract Submitters Attending the Symposium
  1. Use the Symposium registration system at SDBiomarkersSymposium.com. and select your Category (i.e. Physician, Nurse, Student).
  2. You may wait until you receive an acceptance notice before registering for the Symposium.
  3. Those paying full Symposium Registration fees will indicate if a single abstract has been submitted (included with reg fee).
  4. To submit more than 1 abstract, indicate total additional abstracts at $75 each.
  5. If you have received a complimentary registration and wish to submit an abstract see info below.
Abstract Registration for those NOT attending or those receiving Complimentary Registration
  1. Use the Symposium registration system at SDBiomarkersSymposium.com and select: Abstract Submission Only.
  2. You may wait until you receive an acceptance notice before completing the process.
  3. Indicate how many abstracts you are submitting @ $75 each.
  4. Your registration information must match the contact information included in your abstract.
  5. All accepted abstracts must pay the appropriate fee(s) prior to publication or poster display.
